WAIT A FEW WEEKS!!!

Namm is coming up, and the big product anouncements will be made.

Unfortunately, even if you want one of these new products you'll probably have to wait for it to start shipping.

very true, ive got my eye on the new mackie d.4 mixer, the firewire option looks very interesting, plus the vca filters.

had a limited budget and cut down to these 2, which are similarly priced over at my country.

tough choice, used the DJM 600 before and love the 4 channels.

But i have friends recommending the 32 as it has the nice filters.

:conf: :conf:

the dumbest things about the xone32 that made me hate playing on it, were a) the gains are located on the back of the mixer (????) and b) the cue'ing options ie. that stupid cue fader is retarded.

other than that it has great sound and the filters on the fader instead of a knob like my xone 62 was fun. id go for the 600 though personally over the 32.

thats one thing i've always wondered about.

WHAT THE were they thinking?

I've heard that they do that because sound engineers really don't want you messing with the gains, makes it easy to redline the mixer.

Then they realized that it's a stupid thing to do.

I've got a 32 and the gains on top don't bother me a bit. I couldn't be happier with the mixer for $649 shipped.

Okay considering there has been really no conclusion I have to ask now, what do most psytrance djs use when mixing?

I would personally prefer one of the xones's or the DJM-800. I would take the Xone 92 myself. The DJM-800's big feature is the harmonic mixing thing, which isn't all that great.

What are you looking for in a mixer? Will you want a rotary or a linear?

i'd say the midi is pretty huge too...

Right, but the Xone 92 has that as well, which is why I didn't mention it...although I guess the DJM-800 has more deeply integrated midi controlling capability (since pretty much every knob and fader controls with midi, as opposed to just a few), so you have a good point.

I'm old school, so I'm more concerned about the sound and feel. I'd still go with the Xone. It'd be close though, considering the lower price of the 800.

If I'm not mistaken the 92 has only 2 midi controllable knobs and a clock.. nothing else- all itll do is allow intergration of cpu/midi into a set, not real funcionality...

+1... Most of the time I see CDJ100's and a DJM500/600.. but that is in older psy party vids.. It is actually starting to get better with CDJ 200's or 1000's.. Or just all out Live Set gear.. lol Seems like most Psy DJ's are performing more live performances.. :(
