Too bad they didnt choose the old yard seeing they are not using it for anything.

Montreal is Montreal, we don't want to be Orlando or Seattle.
How in hell do you want the port of montreal give away its land when they need it so badly seeing they just had another record year in 2006 for volume? makes no sense.

Yeah because of some conflict over that issue between the John Molson School of Business of Concordia University, that's why the new JMSB building that was supposed to be erected in 2002 or something hasn't even been started yet. |

the john molson school building wasn't about the maximum height, but because of annoying nimbys living next door.
They didn't want their backyard to give to a canyon and get less sunlight.
They bitched and bitched and city forced concordia to lower the building by something like 20 meters...

| Oh, guess I heard wrong... Either way, yeah, that's stupid. I lived in the apartment building behind the other Concordia building they built and half of the tenants lost their view. Yeah, it sucks, but that's downtown for you. |
