last night went to club Space.. The roster: DJ Tiesto, Judge Jules, Johan Gielen, DJ Scot Project, John '00' Fleming, and others...
I paid the 30 bucks to get in, and was pleasantly surprised by all the DJ's just wondering around aimlessly in Space just to "hang out".....
I went with fellow TA's Redeye, Twilogoddess, Ur Dream Grl, Slylee, MrX, Quest 4 Sunrise, and Dekan...... While we were there we "stumbled" into major DJ's left in right in the relatively small crowd.... so we hung out and talked to all these guys all night.... we partied with:
Armin van Buuren
Ferry Corsten
Johan Gielen
DJ Tiesto
DJ Scot Project
John 00 Fleming
Edgar V.
Judge Jules
Shane54
ALL IN THE SAME SMALL ROOM!!!!!
we got pictures, but it was with shane54's camera and not mine, but shane will send me the pics when he gets back to Hungary....
*yes folks you heard right.... GOURYELLA was in the same small room right next to us talking!!!*.... unfortunately we couldn't get ferry and tiesto in the same pic, they never seemed to really be "around" each other too much if at all, and the Space bodyguards are s and throw you out if they catch you with a camera.....
But man, you realize that 75% of all the best trance productions were there in that room chillin' with us lastnight.... it was utterly amazing...
..and to those who think Gielen sucks.... you have no idea.. he dropped a PHAT set last night with excellent tracks.... ONLY 1 I COULD ID!!!!! (ultra-free(svenson & gielen mix))..... NO COMMERCIAL CHEESE!!! :)
By the end of the night Armin was drunk and on the dance floor jumping with the crowd...that was great to see! Ferry was busy talking to everyone last night.... Ferry is a real talker... I talked to him for 20 minutes at the beginning of the night, and he'll tell you everything.... possibly the NICEST guy on the planet.... Johan Gielen really impressed me as well.... he talks to you and treats you like he's known you for years....
We got to meet Tiesto and he was nice, but kinda swamped b/c of all the DJ's there, he was the most recognised... so he was trying to juggle all the fans surrounding him and the such.... but i did get a picture with him, etc... But on Shane54's camera.
Judge Jules was either in a big hurry or just an a-hole.... i tried to intercept him on the way to the booth and shook his hand and tried to ask him something but he kinda used his record bag to block me and scurry off.... so i found all those "rumors" about jules being a dick are true... and the funny part was that NOBODY there recognized him as he was walking around the club.... so its not like he had to "worry" about paparazzi or people going nuts....
See, the people at Space are idiots.... most of them didn't know who any of these guys were.... and no, Armin & Ferry were not spinning, they were just there to hang out.... And here's what kills me.... i was standing next to Ferry and Armin talking to them for awhile, and i could not believe how many people were pushing them out of the way to get to the bar.... "excuse me, excuse me" these people said to Armin & Ferry..... I LOVED it!
But my favorite part of the night by FAR was when this couple went up to Ferry and asked him if HE could take a picture of THEM together!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!! Man, if they only KNEW!
John '00' Fleming was super-nice, talked to him for awhile.... he also threw down a nice & hard set that night.... he was mad later on b/c the bouncer at Space was a moron - he wouldn't let Fleming back into the DJ booth to get his records! man John was pissed, and i'd be too.... stupid bouncer didn't know who he was! But John was SOOOOO nice, volunteering information just to have a conversation... He's the kind of guy you'd be friends with..... He was also upset b/c he was supposed to get an hour and a half set, but Judge Jules showed up early and "kicked him off" b/c Jules decided that HE wanted to do a 2 hour set..... LoL
Scot Project was also very nice.... it was hard to really get a conversation with him b/c he always had a large group of people following him around everywhere, but i did get a chance to get in there and meet him, and he told me "thanks for your support, blah blah blah....".... nice guy, again (like Tiesto) seemed like he wanted to spend more time with the fans but couldn't b/c there were sooo many!
The Order of DJ's for the Night at Space: (admission $30)
12:15 a.m.- 1:00 a.m. : John '00' Fleming
1:00 a.m. - 3:00 a.m. : Judge Jules
3:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m. : DJ Tiesto
6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. : Johan Gielen
7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. : DJ Scot Project
Fleming's set rocked!!! Judge Jules surprised and dropped a HARD set, ironically the best set of the night.... great mixing, SICK track selection... i mean, i WISH i could have recorded that... Jules' set last night KILLED Qontact (his previous best set... also KILLED his Trance Energy set ....)
DJ Tiesto started out slow as hell.... kinda boring, but he also had the longest set.... towards the end it picked up, and he closed with Pulser - Cloudwalking (Ferry Corsten's mix) and it ROCKED!
By this time i was almost passed out.... Fellow TA Redeye had to pump some Red Bulls into me to keep me going at this point...
We stayed for Gielen who played some stuff that was jammin'.....we didn't recognize ANY of it.... all weird & new & different tracks.... but they were damn good.... Kinda felt bad for Johan Gielen b/c the dance floor cleared out after Tiesto was done spinning.... man if they only knew..!
Finally left after Gielen.... was toooooo passed out dead to see Scot Project, plus the damn daylight coming in from outside was really killing the atmosphere....
i finally got home at 10 a.m. and just PASSED OUT! I will post the pictures once i get them back from Shane54....
So, that was my night. How was yours? :toothless

Did ferry, armin, edgar, shane remember you from the last time?
You are lucky...
and you live in fort lauderdale? I used to have a condo there (actually it was nearby, at Pompano Beach)... but I don't have it anymore, so no more florida :( |

ur right it is for losers...now that u think ur lucky ill reveal my marvelous day...wake up late for school...rush their see a few ppl at the pub i knew and they started buying me beers so i said wtf ill skip class..so i pounded back 5 beers and headed to my next class a bit tanked...got their and my buddy jesse was dying to go watch the soccer game and so was i...so we skip class and i drive to this british pub...so i get there and marvelously the place gets jammed.. 8 beers later i order wings...italy ties up the game and i decide since im in a british pub ill rub it into everyones face and yelled and screamed while everyone booed...then to be a nice guy i buy me and my buddy and some other guy 2 pitchers of beer..the other guy didnt want any so...umm i dont remember anymore lol...anyways we were in brampton the last thing i remember is drinking that pitcher and i woke up back in toronto passed out in my car in a parking lot...right now i got the biggest migrain in the world and have my fingers down my throat trying to puke.... SO IN UR FACE ABT!!!!
and only one question boggles me....how did my buddy let me drive home like that |
