Creating a fill from a single hit or crash in Ableton 5?

I'm using Ableton Live 5 to do some production work right now, just learning, but I'm having a hard time getting my breakdownss to come in right.

Right now, I'm using this effect noise (http://www.sendspace.com/file/g5bkm2) to build into the first breakdown of my track, and I'm trying to use a crash on the first beat of the next phrase (the breakdown).

What I'm finding is that when I switch from the scene leading into the breakdown into the next scene (the breakdown itself), the transition isn't as fluid as I'd like it to be - It's almost as if there is a split second pause between the two.

Anyone have any advice for me on this? - Is there some kind of basic action I'm missing here or simply doing wrong?

Thanks in advance - And thanks for all the info I've already gained from all you folks.

Cheers,

JP

Your noise sweep probably ends to soon. You have to adjust it so that it ends at the end of the last step before the breakdown. You can either stretch it to fit a desired amount of bars or you can move it forward in the track a little so that it doesn't end too soon, and if it stretches into the breakdown you simply cut it where it is supposed to end. Or you can edit the raw sample.
