Groove Eric, Elevation & Markus Schulz @ BLUE, 1-6-07 Review + Pics

Tonight's BLUE had a special guest DJ whose identity would not be revealed until he or she would arrive at BLUE in Miami Beach on the 2 year anniversary of The Fix. And sure enough, it was South Florida's very own Markus Schulz. Elevation happened to be in town as well, so we got a whole lotta talent behind the CDJ1000MK2s at BLUE tonight. Groove Eric began with an opening set. I wasn't around much for that; Elevation came up second. I had never heard him play before but he impressed me. I couldn't ID any tracks he played except for one:
Way Out West - Mindcircus (Gabriel & Dresden)
The 2002 classic. 5 years old and it still sounds as sweet as it did when it was first released. Thanks for dropping this tune, dude.
After Elevation came Markus. He gave us an energetic set with tracks such as:
Marco V - Simulated (Marco V 2002 re-edit) <- got the mix ID from Elevation
Stoneface & Terminal - Venus
Aalto - 5
John Askew - Mind Control (Lost World remix)
Chasing Cars <- I didn't like this song much to be perfectly honest.
And Mel's song of the night, as well as the song Markus would use to end his set......
BT vs. Sasha - Remember Magnetic North
4 years old, and another great tune from the olden GDJB days. Awesome to finally hear this tune live.
And Groove Eric came back on for his trademark closing set. We weren't there for very long but it was def sounding great. The only IDs I could get were:
Dogzilla - Without You (John O'Callaghan mix)
Giuseppe Ottaviani - Through Your Eyes (Thomas Bronzwaer remix)
Lots of TAs tonight, including Colleen (ClubGoddess) and Thomas Bronzwaer himself. Was really awesome seeing Heather (globalgirl) again, as well as Markus and Elevation. Pretty damn good night, and I have a couple of thank yous to do:
Thank you to Mel...if it weren't for her I wouldn't have even been there.
A BIG thank you to Richie...without him I wouldn't have the pics and video I took throughout the night.
Great seeing av1, Barbie, and everyone else.

I am one who left early! :( I had to be productive today since I slept all day yesterday for my late night out seeing Thomas Bronzwaer @ Adrenaline on Friday! :D
Last night was incredible!!! I couldn't have asked for a better night! (well, I missed Remember Magnetic North!!!) ARGH!!!:eyespop: I'll be kicking myself in ass forever for missing it!!!
