yo guys.
at last here it is! Tonewashed as i originally intended it to be.
i have spent the last few days rehashing my trancer that i started exactly a year ago. the original was quite popular here on TA. it was rmxed by some familiar faces 'speactra' and 'nortek' and at last my 'original mix' is sounding how i intended all those months ago.
for me this is exactly what the term 'trance' means. i ve poured a lot of emotion into it.
no real mixing has been done yet. and i quickly 'maximised' this render so it hits the high levels - so it may clip here and there.
once complete it will see a release on my own 101 recordings' label. along with the awsome speactra and nortek remakes.

Oh yeas, this is trance! It gives me the same feelings as I get when I listen to Purple Hazes - Adrenaline, which is one of my favorites! Awesome! :cool:

This is very intresting to listen to. How you managed to beef it up with a year of skills :D
Same big old bassline, love it! I couldnt replace it in my remix, so i used the same :) great bassline.
I got a big smile when I first heard your break at 1 min, it's a so powerful start for the track, just "booom" and then that great tonewashed sound :p
I can hear this new synthline at the background, I wish it was there when I made the remix, it adds alot to the track, sounds wonderful and it really fits!
Breakdown is really dreamy, sounds great this time too :)
Track keeps on going just as it should :)
I can hear some new drums too, still subtle and it is perfect for this track :)
But i noticed that you have deleted some of the old drumwork wich i miss, i even used some of them in my remix. I think it's the fx on the drums you have deleted. imo they need to be there. I think you should sneak them in again :)
It's very hard for me too find anything to complain about because I have a predilection for it! Loved it a year ago, and I love it even more now :D Greeaat track!!
I'll beef up my remix for the release, cant wait! :D

I liked the bassline in this, though I found it tended to get drowned a little by the low pad.
Sounded quite push like to me, nice atmosphere, but perhaps a bit empty sounding overall for my tastes. |

Great sound, very M.I.K.E-ish indeed.
The harmony isn't very M.I.K.E. though ;)
I was expecting a new lead after the breakdown, the track doesn't seem to go anywhere at the moment. Lots of potential, but not enough variation, as Ricky pointed out.
Some additional (sharp) hi hats could increase the drive for a start. I'd write a complete melody to fill up the section after the breakdown as well. |

1:13 sweet break, nice how you bring attention to the low synths.
1:30 ahh filtering in that nice melody sweeet

Hey Rich,
Easily your best work up to this date. The melodic parts are good as always. The atmosphere is usually great in your tracks.
What you have improved on a lot is the beat. Kick is thumping in this track, the percs are a lot better. Still no open hi hat but hey ;)
The main synth could be placed a bit less obvious in the mix, it is a tad too loud and a tad to dry. Other than that, no comments on this. Lovely track! |
