PSYLAB at CoSM 1/20 (NYC)

PSYLAB will be performing in the chill-out room @ Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors on Saturday 1/20 ...
For those who haven't heard PSYLAB ...
Psylab is a band, believe it or not, consisting of 4 individuals on electronic instruments. Nord Leads, V-drums, Bass, & Samples.
Their styles run the gamut from tech/trance to jungle to house to breaks... always drenched in psychedelia!
For this event, Psylab will be taking a step away from the 140+ psytrance & instead performing a rare midtempo / psybreaks / dub set.
DJ Novatron performs as well.
Mark it in the calendars!
JANUARY 20th at COSM!

This could be quite interesting. I've read about his gallery before and had thought about trying to get over there sometime. His artwork really is unique and trippy. The website, http://www.cosm.org/, has an interesting video in the "About COSM" link where he talks about a piece that he did years ago that showed the Twin Towers and two planes, as a guy who resemble Bush, a dick, and a Middle Eastern terrorist all walking together. That was a bit freaky.

I went to a Full Moon Gathering during the summer and I liked it a lot. There was a drumming session going on, only prob the place is a black box and no ventilation so the smell was unbearable.
The art exhibit was interesting, people on the floor meditating and a guy cleaning people's chakras. It's for the spiritual types or if you want to do acid (saw a lot of these when I was there). The vibe is really nice and the people really cool, but if it's not your thing, might seem totally wacky. Either way, it's worth checking out.
Haven't had the chance to go back, might do it on the 20th. |

Almost forgot, when I was there it was I think $10 or $15 (don't remember) to get into the sweaty black box.
The building is a couple of doors down from BED. |

| Been there a few times to look at the artwork, but never for a full moon or any sort of event. Might check it out. |
