Ok...so this track has basically been finished for months, way back in July, but Menno and myself had different ideas about some parts of the track. So we're finally getting round to posting it up!

Compared to our last collab, Stargliding, this one is in quite similar style; uplifting trance, with influences from Active Sight.

By the way, R.N.M is a collab between myself and Nomen Nescio, for those who don't know.

Anyway, here's the link to the file:

Any feedback is great :)

hello ricky and nomen.

listening..

ricky- your new monitors have really improved your mixing. this sounds very good. kick is very clear and upfront.

pads and rythmic synths work well. and create a very beautiful atmophere.

'baker' style snare is a bit out of place. its a little dry for the rest of what is a very wet sounding track. maybe try makin it sit in the mix a bit.

break - breakbeat is nice. its subtle and refreshing.

im awaiting a really powerful melody..

main section. - reminds me of push's prime days. the bass arrangement is similar to plastic boy in notation. id have liked to hear a more prominant main lead. a searing screaming of emotion..

overall pretty faultless and well put together. and a nice listen

rich:)

hey guys,

very good track you got here, reminds me a lot to some Active Sight stuffs, indeed

it could have been signed imo!

thanks for the share:)

Get rid of that Fred Baker snare, it sounds out of the place. ;)
Lovely harmony, I would have liked the main lead to shine a bit more, it disappears behind all of the whooshes and other atmospheric elements.

Good idea, but the mix still needs some work, the way I see it.

Downloading it right now. People seem to like your track. Gonna check it out.

this is sounding nice.

tbh it sounds better than stargliding alot less generic. menno's mastering skills has give it a real good polish.

the problem with the snare is it is too far forward in the mix which makes it feel out of place but given a better position it would work nicely.

very dreamy breakdown. nice synth choice. really nice choice actually.

nice sounds although it didnt leave an lasting impression on me. might due to the fact that the lead isnt very dominant and doesnt take control.

all the same a nice listen!

Thanks guys for the replies so far. We are glad you like most of the things of this track.

Rick has put it quite right in his introduction. He and I disagreed on some of the elements in this track. One of the disagreements was the volume of the main lead which i.m.o is way too low. It should have played a bigger and more prominent part in this track but we could not agree on it. Also I feel the kick is not the my taste.

For the rest I am proud of the track but it could have been better.

Cheers everyone!

Hello to the dutch and irish collective.

Another fine track you've bestowed upon us here.. Everything sounds so professional, crispy and bright.. The kick and bass are solid as.. really smooth sounding intro.

As mentioned those snares really don't sound good.. they just kinda feel like they've been plonked in.. not a fan at all sorry.

You two are really developing that distinct sound together and it's great.. all the awesome triangle/sineish leads that arent to clique with the usually tripe that gets dumped into today's "prog trance".

I'm going to also agree that the lead sound is too soft.. beef it up and take out those annoying snares and you have a winner! :)

eh... cant wait to hear it! :)
