| sure, but waiting for all the old releases (EVER, like in the history of dance music) to eventually be catalogued over the years isn't really a good solution. lol |

The solution is simple have "new releases" as that, and an "update on back catalog" option. However, that probably wouln't fly as I have a feeling record labels are rejoicing at the fact that they can re-release a track from 10 years ago (there are a few) as a NEW tune and beatport is cashing in on that as well.

Son of a B... starting off the year well with me agreeing with you once again.
This is my biggest pet peeve with digital releases. They definitely need to categorize things more efficiently.
I do like the artist submitted charts though. Sometimes they're really good for finding something from different genre's. |

Yeah, that would definitely work.
To make it even easier, they could make it so if you click 'view all', it's everything (including re-releases) - and clicking on 'new releases' would be ONLY new releases. That way they wouldn't have to make a new tab, or really re-configure anything on the interface.
So who's making the request, you or me?
:tongue3 |
Or even simpler, put a star beside a re-release. |

| honestly, I think the answer is just putting the ORIG release date on the songs page as well. As I'd also like to know from WHEN the track is being re-released. Is it from 2 months ago or 2 years ago? |

I just wish they accepted Paypal, or I had a CC.
I can't imagine being a DJ without beatport, or other services like it. It is expensive enough as it is.
How many of you actually pay extra for the WAV file? |
|

| wavs is all i buy from beatport (unless its from labels which don't sell wavs) |

lol oh please. They'll probably just credit my account and won't do anything beyond that.

I do. I only download from sites that offer waves. If a site doesn't, then I don't bother with it. |

I haven't bought the wav's from beatport. I've felt a couple of tracks have been sub-par but not anything I would cry over.
Orko, don't you need a credit card to use paypal anyways? |
