hey all
sorry to bother you and thank you for taking the time out of your busy days to read this post. now to get to the point. i am trying to get a new feature added to gmail that id really find useful personally
i do not know if it will be any use to you but i would really appreciate it if you could go to this website https://services.google.com/inquiry/gmail_suggest/ and insert the text that i have prepared below and make the suggestion to google to add this service to gmail in the "i have a better suggestion" text box. i figure that the more people who make the suggestion the more likely it is to be actually realized.
if you want to forward this post around or repost it on other boards because you think this would be useful too then forsure feel free to and thanks alot!

[B]The suggestion - Copy/paste below into the gmail suggestion box [B]
When sending a message from one of my other accounts using the 'send mail as:' option - for instance if i am sending an email from alternate@gmail.com and i am using my mainemail@gmail.com account to send it - gmail should automatically know NOT to add my regular signature at the bottom of the email as this might cause confusion or release personal information that i do not want to be sending out which is one of the main reasons i find myself using the 'send mail as:' option to begin with. if not automatically knowing NOT to add the signature the option should be there when using the 'send mail as:' option for each email address you are adding on to turn your signature on or off.

Spamming their inbox with the same suggestion won't win you any favours - that just adds to administrative workload and gets people pissed off.
