Need some suggestions for putting together a promo

I'm putting together a promo to give to a college bar nearby that plays some terrible dance music. The DJ, whoever it is, plays your typical super popular tracks, except he is about a year too late. For example, he was hammering Buy Now- For Sale right before break. People were loving it, but I mean this guys track selection is just a joke.

Anyways, I am trying to put together something for that the owners will like. I figure to play it safe. Here's some tracks I think they'll like.

Nelly Furtado- Promiscuous (Axwell Remix)
Bob Sinclar- Tennessee (Main Club Mix)
Chocolate Puma - Always And Forever (Bob Sinclar Mix)
Bob Sinclar Feat. Steve Edwards - World Hold On (Axwell Remix)

The problem is, obviously, that I am going with the same guns, and I think the promo will blend together a little too much.

Suggestions for similar tracks, but perhaps straying from Axwell and Sinclar?

First off, wrong forum. :)

Secondly,

If people are loving it, there is little reason for him to change his track selection... and you have to be careful if you plan on usurping his position, because if you change up something they were enjoying, it could be for the worst.

Just something to be mindful of.

Sorry, I'm confused, but what forum should this be in?

As for 'the people are loving it', I wasn't perfectly clear. The problem is while he is digging up proven and long dead tracks, he is also throwing in his own little flavor (usually leaning towards trance cheese). This is where he losses the crowd A LOT. I have only been there 3 times, but each time he will rock the place with a crowd pleaser, but then trow something so 'off' that the crowd will simultaneously stop dancing.

I know I can just kill, especially since I can play all those songs that are long dead to most of us, but are crowd killers to this audience. I just need a little help in putting together a promo. ;)

Call on Meeeeeeeeeeeeee ;)

And other remixes of Pop tracks will draw in the non-EDM crowd as well. Other than that, funk is fun.

Shouldn't be that hard mate. Vocals, vocals, vocals. Throw in that prydz v pink floyd track, fedde le grande - put your hands up for detroit, de lacy - hideaway <- oldie, but some new mixes are out on beatport.

Why be a year too late when you can be about 6-8 months out of date instead, ay?

The point was that he is going to tired guns to get the effect. And while the people are inexperienced enough where hearing For Sale still has an impact, he will also still throw down Call on Me and get a very half-hearted reaction.

While I'm not saying the tracks I have chosen are on the cutting edge or are fresh to us, I can guarantee the audience hasn't heard any of those tracks, aside from world hold on.

Bas, thanks for the suggestion. I agree vocals always seem to have an added effect.

Is this a somewhat EDM-literate crowd then?

Tom Sigmond - One Moment (orig mix)- vocal trance.
Armand Van Helden - You Don't Know Me - listed at Dancerecords.com as Corporate vs. Armand Van Helden - You Don't Know Me w/other samples, sample starts @ approx. 1:40.

Don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for but hope this helps.
