Why lie about it in the first place?

I never knew the Sixaxis was ever up for an award in the first place. But seriously, why the does Sony consistently wreak up the place with nothing but terrible publicity. First they create fake PSP fansites, now they create fake awards. God damn.

This is just as bad as when they use the 360 to create the Metal Gear Solid Trailer. :haha:

i've began to trust less from articles posted on the internet, whether a company wins an award or not, that will ultimately not persuade my buying decision. Hell even press releases are written by marketing managers who know squat about their product. Case in point, I'm a contributing editor for SoleCollector Magazine and I wrote an article with illegitimate facts and submitted it to the copy department, it made it all the way to press before anyone proof'd it for accuracy and grammar. Just goes to show you, only believe half of what you read and base all things on your own experience!

If anyone is a marketing manager and doesn't know squat about their product, they should be immediately relieved of their position. Marketing executives, more-so than anyone else in the company, have to know their product inside out.

theoretically yes, i mean come on, how can you market something you don't know. Fact is, and will probably always will be, is that marketing has a different view on a product then say a technical engineer does when they develop the product. No marketing manager ever reads any functional docs/technical docs which really defines any products intentions and actual facts.
