not necessarily :) i had two removed with pliers - uncomfy, yes, but the shot they gave me made me lose all sense of feeling on the corresponding sides of my mounth for hours, it was just weird to have two ppl attend me and have 2 tubes sucking stuff out of my mouth at the same time and all... but didn't feel anything

and my regular dentist did it

It's not the pain I was worried about... It's WATCHING a set af pliers down my mouth, and hearing crunching, and feeling tugging, and the blood sucking tubes and sht.

I had to have one wisdom tooth removed when I was around 25. It had to come out quickly too. And I agree with Abercrombie, it's the worst feeling to have the dentist with his feet against the chair for leverage, as he's twisting out a tooth. Not to mention, the friggin recovery. The other three came out while I was under, which was a much more pleasant experience

avoid infection! cause if you get one.. it's worse than the actual removal! so remember to clean after every meal and before/after sleep!

yeah well I closed my eyes :) i did catch a glimpse of the whole apparatus, even mom got a bit freaked out and left the room, but closing the eyes helped a lot

however, mine were actually cut out of the gum and then pulled out, but there was more scooping out then tugging tbh..
