Well stick that tabloid into some far-far away hole. I personally don't see any difference in credibility between quotations taken from David Duke's site and those from that yellow-press.

David Duke's credibility is on par with The Economist? Christ, I think we found the problem.

I'm glad that we now understand each other well.

I thought it quite simply explained to you that nothing of any appreciable intelligence came from a closed, ignorant mind that preaches hatred.

If you love it so much, why don't you just marry it?
MisterOpus1
And that concludes our thread, ladies and gentlemen. A round of applause for the shear route of silliness this thread has taken us towards.

Any concluding remarks? Great, moving on.......

Shutting down/revoking the licenses of news organisations that were not controlled by either the government or Putin backers is the #1 rollback of democratic reforms that there can be.

I can name you at least 10 independent news media in Russia.

And presumably all those shutdown news organisations you meant there, were simply bought by corporations like Gazporm, etc. Well, I don't see anything good here of course, but somebody has to invest money in to media sector.

For example in the US as I understand (correct me if I'm wrong) all major TV news channels are owned by corporations. I don't see you saying here that American government is rolling back democratic reforms.

The absolute most important part of any true democracy is the access of information. When the information outlets are all controlled by those interested in keeping the current power brokers in power, democracy suffers.

There are plenty of information outlets to access in any part of Russia. If you didn't know that, they have the Internet thing too.

Putin has also entertained the idea of changing the constitution to remove term limits.

, ARE YOU JOKING ME???? Do you read any news at all, boy?
If you don't have anything to say, don't post your own bull here.

Putin said it 100 times that he is not going to change anything in the Constitution of Russian Federation.

That is exactly a thing this tabloid is made for.

Yes, its a shame but most people have absolutely nooooo idea what's going on in Russia. They look at the title of an article and don't bother reading whats inside. You are right!

The most terrible thing is that some of them are looking inside,
BUT inside some yellow-junk on an example of The Economist.
And after that, they're making theories based on that information, don't even bother to look in any other source.

2 Shakka:
How many Russian journals did you read before coming up with that judgment?
