The first edition of Resolution a huge success at the Bell Center!
Montreal, Tuesday, January 11, 2007 – About 8,500 people danced the night away to ring in the new year at the Resolution 07 event presented to a full house on the night of January 1 at the Bell Centre. In spite of a delay stemming from a state of affairs beyond the control of the artist and the organizers (a technical problem with his plane), renowned DJ Tiësto got his fans moving to an energetic set as he wound up the festivities from 8 a.m. to noon. The organizers – Godskitchen and White Party Week – wish to apologize to everyone who had to leave before Tiësto’s arrival, the delay being the result of circumstances that were impossible to foresee or manage. Despite everything, this first edition of Resolution turned out to be an undeniable success, kicking 2007 off with a bang and laying the groundwork for nothing but good things in the years to come.
Intense from start to finish…
The atmosphere was torrid from start to finish as DJs Uppercut, Franco Fabi, Victor Calderone, Max Graham and Danny Torrence – not to forget Second Sun in a live show – took turns purveying driving rhythms over the roughly 15 hours of the event. Filled to
capacity for the physical arrangement reserved for this type of event, the Bell Centre pulsated like never before as it delighted party-goers with the sounds of House and Trance. As with any successful party, space was sometimes at a premium on the giant dancefloor, but it must be pointed out that the crowd was never greater than the legal limits stipulated for this amphitheatre by the various regulating authorities.
A successful party in every way
Despite the dense crowd that had gathered for the occasion, no untoward incident blemished an atmosphere that was pure party. Throughout the night, the thousands of participants gave expression to their enthusiasm while displaying an unfailing sense of order and responsibility. Police services, as well as the Bell Centre’s own security, corroborated the positive attitude of those in attendance and the absence of significant problems both at the door and inside the amphitheatre.
Thank-you to the public, artists and partners
Godskitchen and White Party Week extend their warmest thanks to the public and the artists in attendance for their support, which was essential to the success of this first experience. And very special thanks to all the partners who provided us with exceptional backing, beginning with the entire Bell Centre team, with whom it was a pleasure to collaborate. Thanks finally to all the members of the Godskitchen/White Party Week team for their very much appreciated participation in this success. An excellent 2007 to all – and till next December 31 and the second edition of Resolution.

Read the reviews and sift out info from there re: what we liked and didn't like about Resolution. We appreciate all your efforts, the set up was great and the dj's did a sound job but some stuff can be improved upon before the Sept massive at the same venue (Mr Gilbert touched on some in his press release).
cheers,

For sure %1000000
We know we are not even close to perfect but belive it or not we try damn hard to get it as close as we can. Even if it seems to far fetched for most people in here.
We also fully read the concerns and always try and improve our buisness model. Nothing is ever perfect especially with a large event like this where trying to cover all the mistakes possible being made daily, and with the man power/situations that are coming into play.
Yes we care about making money (what buisness would not) but at the end of the day we always have to aim to please the paying customer (at least the majority) as they are really the ones that help make this happen buy buying tickets and keep on comming back.
Well if anyone wants to let us know how we can serve the community better for our next event we are all ears and our doors are always open.
2007 events to look out for
Bal en Blanc
Grand Prix Week End
Sun Dance Music Festival
Cream (name to be released soon)
Resolution 2008
We are already working very hard to provide this city with more choice events.
Peace! |
