heres my view, well, there r 2 actually :)
view number 1: the earthquakes r a result of the US bombings
view number 2: the US got some kind of ultra-sonic device they can make earthquakes with, which should explain y no US troops were even CLOSE to the epicentrum
sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, what do u guys think?? |

it would take very powerfull weapons to cause earthquakes me finks, more powerfull than nuclear bombs
these quakes just happened at a time when things couldnt get worse, but they did

well not really. back home in Colorado apparently someboyd caused an earthquake from punping water into the ground for like 10 years. i see how someone could suspect the damaged caves could cause eartquakes, but i doubt it...late/ |

I had suspected view number 1 from the first time i heard the news...
but the scenerio of that could either be
1. they bombed in the caves and the mountains becane unstable cracking vertically and thereby causing an earthquake
or
2. they bombs dropped by the US actually hit a load of stored ammunition or even a nuke and causeed the earthquake |

hahaha ah, the conspiracy theories
Afghanistan is simply located in the earthquake-bound region, where the seismic activity is possible by shifting of the plates due to earth's vibes deep inside.. technically, it couldn't be 'tempted' by US attacks because they are bombing the surface.. and plates couldn't easily be affected by that. They are just... well, out of luck... or as some people like to say  cursed and it's payback time. |

I believe the weapons the USAF have been deploying have been the outrageously expensive Paveway 3 missiles. Of course, the American people don't care. This is the same people who got ripped off on their tax rebate and cheered about it.
They penetrate through lots of material, as they are designed for penetrating bunkers etc.
The technology involves sending shockwaves into the ground. Pure force alone does not send this missile through hundreds of feet of mountain, it uses shockwaves.
I think it very possible this is linked to the earthquake.
If noone believes me I'll dig up some info on the Paveway 3. |

| i think USA has a powerful weapon that could get into earth nucleas and strike it in a specific place to hit certain regions hence Afghanistan, Turkey, Greece, South america?china?....:D:D:D:D |

bull :p:)
the troops wernt anywhere near the place because they do have seismic equipment capable of detecting earthquakes before they happen, so they probably got them out and 'forgot' to warn the afghan ppl in the area.
as for these paveway things, i seriously doubt that we would make a weapon thats gonna cause earthquakes... even if it does use shockwaves or wotever, they wouldnt be that big as to shift a whole plate of the earths crust... they may howver have brought the earthquake on quicker... basically it was going to happen, it prolly just made it sooner rather than later. i would say this is probably better for them as it would be 20x more annoying if they had just built everything back up again only for it to b derstroyed by an earthquake.
afghanistan is an earthquake-prone country... earthquakes happen in earthquake-prone places. just bad luck IMO :) |
