Last night was my first night at Hotel, and I had an awesome time. That place gets quite rockin' for a Thursday night!
Manzone & Strong played a great set before Rene Amesz. The little bits of Chicago House they played was a very nice surprise. I've really been liking Manzone & Strong's opening sets recently.
Rene Amesz was good, but nothing spectacular. He didn't play a lot of tracks that I hadn't heard before, which I was expecting, but he did exactly what he needed to do to create a good party. The crowd totally ate it up.
Tracks of the night:
Spider Legasz - Psych (Sling!!!)
Green Velvet - La La Land (This was so well played, and it fit perfectly into the set. This was a pretty risky track to drop, but he pulled it off.)
The Knife - We Share Our Mothers Health (Trentemoller Remix) (OMG!!! This was his closing track. I cannot believe he played this. This is one of my favourite tracks of this year, and I never thought I would hear it live, but I did last night! I went absolutely crazy to this song.)

It certainly did for me man.
All in all, a very good party not only for a Thursday night, but in general. I'd definitely go back to Hotel. |
