its not real digital tho. doesnt have digi ins or outs. the djm400 has all the effects and the tricks like that and is a very good mixer.

the rane comes fro a brand renouned fotr its quality so i doubt the tt56 is any different. it has an fx loops to add an external fx unit but doesnt have any of its own. but it does have a balance output which the djm doesnt have. also the rane is designed for more a scratch dj, ranes website explains about the fader adjusments. http://www.rane.com/ttm56.html

id probably personally go with the djm but the rane is a very nice mixer if ur more into turntablism, the desicion is urs really.

I'd go for the Rane TTM 56. It's A solid feeling mixer that will last a long long time.

Rane! That way you can practice scratching when nobody is around.

which will yeild the better sound quality?

Rane for both build and sound quality. Don't forget rane service is awsome if you should ever need parts. I've got parts from rane for something they built over 20yrs ago.
