| it's real interesting, I enjoyed maybe 1 min of ur whole original mix, the main melody seem to hide what i liked in the tune tho. As for the math roth mix, it's real nice not my kind of music but definitly something i would like to see in a party (just to watch people tho). |

| I first heard the martin roth remix of this yesterday on TATW. Normally with TATW and ASOT i have it on in the background and out of the whole show maybe 1 or 2 tracks really stand out and this certainly did for me. I just listened to your original mix and although i prefer the remix it's still a pretty decent track. People here have been complaining about the lack of melody but my taste seems to be veering away from melodic and fluffy, uplifting trace into a much more techy, driving sound so no complaints from me :) |

this track is so nearly there.
I reckon whats there works pretty well, I like the sounds used, the effects (that turntable squelchy scratchy sound every now and again especially) kinda put me off a bit - a little overdone maybe, but in general I like it.
Except, I do agree that it lacks a certain oomph behind it. However I think if a dj pitched it up a bit (as I tend to do) it would work. It does remind me a bit of Control Freak in the structure and also in that lack of oomph. However also like Control Freak, crank it up a bit and it'll work pretty well methinks.
The Roth remix I don't like that much, dunno what, that second melody line sorta thing is a little busy for me maybe. |

Hey man,
Original: 7/10. Does start off like 'Armin van Buuren - Control Freak (Sander van Doorn Remix)... although that is more memorable with the elongated claps and it's more in your face elements. My initial impressions was that it was a solid piece... and I think you did a good job in the breakdown, the pads were really powerful. Although I think here, being a techy piece... it felt as if something really powerful was missing like some "massive saw" sounds (ie, Signum - Back@Ya) breakdown. Your melody is simple, and it's nice, although I think you could've made it more 'euphoric' by using higher scales...
edit: i wish the synth sounds were more "prounounced" so you could hear it, and the delays on it more. it'd sound badass. start of the breakdown gets a bit boring.
Btw, whats with the rewind / fast forward being disabled? Kinda annoying?
Martin Roth: bADASS intro. Bass is WICKED. Some really stupid percussion added to it, he seems to love that "addition of instruments" (ie, like "TallaXLC - Carry Me remix)just before the new 8/8 kick. Kinda doesn't work here. I dunno about this track. The bassline kinda fits for a ferocious track... but the synths and that reverb FX jsut don't fit... btw the changing of scales of the bass s it up imo. |
