Rainborn
The most banging, fierce, insane, driving techno out there. Like... Really driving bass and insane drumloops all over the ing place, something that you CAN'T go wrong with in a club.
distant
I'd just go for d'n'b.

Yeah. Far more drum loops in that than are in techno, and generally much faster paced and more driving.

I listen to that too. And you're right, but techno that kinda sounds like dnb, you know?

Not really. Not even close in most cases.

I'll check the archives.

EDIT: I think what you're looking for is old school Drop Bass Network. Woody McBride circa 1993, that is. Nothing but fierce acid stompers. 150BPM and goin'.

Same thing goes for the Caution Acid records, released on 100% Acidiferous, a sublabel to Planet Core Productions. You really can't go wrong with PCP in general.

This label ain't too bad either: http://www.discogs.com/label/Kill+Out+Recordings

As for newer , you could try schranz, which I personally despise (it just tries too hard to create a good energy, and fails miserably).
RapidFire
depeche mode - barrel of a gun (underworld hard mix)

the band hated the speed of the remix so much that they actually asked underworld to make another remix of it (hence the slow mix) :wtf:
Rainborn
Mycket uppskattat, Distant, ska verkligen kolla in grejerna inom kort.

Thanks for that suggestion too, RapidFire. Will check it out as soon as I can.

I'm sure you're aware of Swedish techno branch.. But it sounds like the thing you're looking for.

* Earlier Drumloop releases
* Adam Beyer (not his recent stuff, though)
* Cari Lekebusch
* Joel Mull
* Paco Osuna

(and yes, they're not all Swedish).

It's not necessarily hard, but very driving, not too flashy, not too pretentious, just good overall dancing material.

If you want it harder, without getting into hardtechno of the likes of Marco Remus and Rush, I'd recommend some offbeat / Eastern European techno. There's lots of driving stuff in there as well (with the of lots of people thinking there's an arsenal of motorbikes falling down a 30 story stairwell).

By the way, the last track in that CJ Bolland set ("It's in your mind") is of course Kaylyn - Your Wildest Dream (CJ Bolland Slick Bass Remix) released in 1997.

Last time I heard the set was a couple of years ago, I should get it again and see if I recognize any more tracks.

Yeah kinda like the swedish techno stuff. Your help is much appreciated, mate. This will do, how do I close threads? LOL I don't even know.
