My Footwork Review

Well, for the first time last night I went to FootWorks. Too sum up the reading for everyone who looks into this, I had alot of fun!
To start this review off, after me and my friends somehow met a guy who started telling us how he just did a bump of heroin, we turn around and get away from that guy, and meet some other people, who are heading to footworks. So we jump on the wagon and head over.
Now $20 to get in I was kind of like, too expensive, also, the drinks werent cheap either.
After getting inside, around I think 1:30, a women started doing some vocals to the music, which sounded great! Whoever you were, you got an awesome voice!
The music was kicking it all night, loud, deep, perfect for the dark atmosphere.
I got the sense more pills were goin down then drinking, and alot of those kind of parties, theres usually alot of sketchy people
But I have to say i was incredibly surprised how cool, outgoing, and friendly everyone was. All the girls were nice and fun to talk to, the guys weren't stand-offish, starting any fights.
I thought the age group was rather young, but most people I talked to were in their later 20's
So, all in all, an awsome time!!
The reason for this thread you ask?
Well I don't go often to T. to party, and my "idea" of this place was that it was more sketchy, small, not too party oriented place, but after going there tonight, I couldn't of been more wrong
So this review will hopefully help change that kind of image for a few others! |

lol. good call!
i arrived around 3:30 with manzone&strong. the place was PACKED and wicked as usual. a lot of new faces but i obviously saw some familiar ones because people came to say hi. dekoze was finishing up and his shirt wasnt off, just kinda pulled over his head around his neck.
manzone&strong started their set shortly after and had the energy level way up, maintaining dekoze's crazy energy from before. the bass bins were getting a serious workout. my ears arent ringing at all but i feel partially deaf today.
the bongo drummer was pretty good. he was on beat unlike some others that ive seen (i dont know how those drummers even get gigs at the clubs). i also dont understand why bongo drummers like to do their thing so close to the dj booth and make it harder for the dj to hear the monitors.
lights came on at 5am like clockwork. people seemed happy with the nights festivities. and people didnt look ugly in the light so thats a good sign. stephan, if you read this, thanks for hooking up at the door.
ni-cd, hoping to see the pics that you took last night. if you dont post them anywhere at least hook me up with the pics that you took of me and tanya. |
