yeah, but you never heard their music...
They obviously don't know how to use ANY of their gear. |
yeah! i had a listen to some of their stuff.. it really does suck.. with all that gear they should be able to create a more professional sound. |

Hahaha... it's not the gear, it's the inspiration that makes good music. |

not so much that.. i could understand if they don't have any creativity/inspiration, but you could at least expect them to have a more professional sound quality |

Holy Stock-Aitken-Waterman, Batman! How the heck can anyone get any inspiration when confronted with all those toys?? How can one resist the temptation of using nothing but presets! :clown: :D
Aw heck, I feel kinda bad raggin' on the poor guy - that setup looks like serious blood, sweat & cash went into it. Money for sure.
This whole thing reminds me of situations where one guy walks into an old friend's umteen zillion dollar studio, looks at everything, and says "Dude, I can kick yo' ass with HALF o' that ! I got nutt'n at home but a couple o' beat-up turntables, a Radio Shack battery mixer, two tapedecks, a piece-o'- sampler, a Commodore 64, a Casio I got for a hundred bucks and a stereo I stole from some old guy, and EVERY dj in town spins my jams 'cuz they're PHAT!!"
This is what everyone with a big studio is up against, but I think it's give-and-take. The small guys work super hard to imitate what the big guys do and innovate in the process, since from working so hard they gain a better understanding of what's happening PLUS you have all the really cool accidents that you get when you work with half-broken garbage. The pros imitate it and make it punchier with all their expensive equipment, and yes, they innovate a bit too. Sometimes. |

That studio scares me, too much electronic gadgetry for me. I'll stick to computer music before I mess around with synths. |
