Hopefully someone knows something about this, but I want to get a book that has all the medical schools in them, with acceptance statistics, campus life, and the types of programs/clerkships offered.
I dont know about princeton review or kaplan, I want to stick to a writer/publisher that doesnt compete with another program/company. I know there is USNews, but I dont know if it has the stuff I want. |

There's a book out by AAMC called "Medical School Admissions Requirements." Here's the link to purchase it from Amazon, >>>>>>> Amazon Link <<<<<<<<<. The AAMC also has a site about the book, you should probably check that out. >>>>>> AAMC LINK <<<<<<<. I don't think it addresses campus life.
Good luck with the process. I remember doing the same thing for Law School, it was a horrible process, but it's gratifying when the acceptance letter comes in. |

good luck with the application process, fwi, apply to as many programs as your financial situation will allow, you have safety in numbers. |

Yea, thats what Ive been told... Im aiming for around 20... but thats why I need the book, so that I dont waste money applying to schools that I dont have a chance of getting into (whether its cause of class size or because 90%+ of the applicants accepted are from within their own state), or I dont waste money on schools which are very research based. |

for that the usnews info should help you weed out schools. THe princeton review even gives some of the basic statistics for free. CLICK HERE
Everything i've read says that the book "medical school admissions requirements" (the one i mentioned before) is good when considering medical schools. |

Did you stop by your college's pre-med office/advisor (if it has one)?
They give some good references to use. |
