so yeah...i know this goes in the music producer's forum, but they hate lumping a buncha songs into one thread, plus i don't take myself seriously and i lost the working files of these they're just the exports so i'm not looking for specific things to change like tweaking the bass a bit, just getting some music out there to the only part of tranceaddict i ever go to anyways :p
without further ado...i give you a selection of the music i've written over the last year:
Mezzir - Seabreeze
k we'll start off with one i've posted once before
simple chill trancey stuff, which is rare for me, i rarely do dance music anymore. but yeah, straightforward
The Veils - The Leavers' Dance (Mezzir Remix)
I forget where I found the original of this song, but the second i heard it it struck me as something that with a simple beat and some beefed up other parts could be a killer dance track, so here it is. definitely happy with this one, though i never quite finished it.
and the last of the dance tracks...
Usher feat. Lil Jon and Ludacris - Yeah! (Mezzir's Discoteque Remix)
dance remix of yeah!
original was catchy, but overplayed. fun to mess around with. this remix led me to lated compose the track 'lil jon mayer' which was your body is a wonderland with lil jon yelling various lil jon-isms over it
i'll try to dig that up sometime
this one's definitely worth checking out, one of the few i really finished
Mezzir - Wtfffff(aka needs a name)
Wrote this one in a ski resort in pennsylvania on a road trip across country, we stopped there to see our friend in mountain bike nationals. but yeah, at night there was jack to do. kinda reflects that. maybe. idk. very very random, but fairly cohesive.
Mezzir - Got ed
the other track i wrote on that road trip. started it ont he same day as the above track. again, very random and mostly just messing around, but turned out pretty well.
Mezzir - Forgotten Rage
Heard a report on the radio about columbine quite some time after the shooting (years), and i never had really thought about it. went home, read some press releases etc, and found a npr report that really struck me, moving interviews with students who were there, and so i basically wrote a track to go with it. the report's still here playing over the music. turned out really well
Mezzir - Suite
simple solo piano piece i wrote
too much reverb, but i like the composition
and lastly, probably my favorite...
A Perfect Circle - The Outsider vs. Eminem - Toy Soldiers
went through a mash-up and bootleg phase, this is by far the best work to come out of it
if you're gonna only get one of these, i'd recommend this one (if you like hip hop i suppose)

Mezzir - Epic Movie Music
got to try out edirol (think)'s orchestral...ing amazing
so yeah, decided to see if i could make some epic movie music, and pretty much succeeded
word, with that out of the way, thanks for listening and any/all feedback is always appreciated.

lol yeah i tried one of these threads a year or so back in that forum and got ripped a new one for posting so many songs in one thread :p |
