"alt" = alternate account
lots of new members get accused of being alts, but don't worry. if you can stick it out for a while, get used to the dynamics of this forum, and deal with the "hazing" from the regulars... you'll fit right in, and people will stop calling you "n00b" and "alt" in due time.
