You should. He's only playing New York tomorrow and sound-bar on Friday. He flies out back to Europe the next day. When will he return? Anybody's guess. |

Legendary Frankfurt-based DJ Sven Väth visits Chicago this Friday for an event presented by Koncept and Meiotic Promotions. In his twenty-five-year-long DJ career, Väth has also released his own productions and run several celebrated record labels. Touting an aggressive-as-ever DJing schedule, the 43-year-old is now the owner of Cocoon Event Media, which encompasses his label Cocoon Recordings and his Cocoon Club in Frankfurt. Väth’s Cocoon night at Amnesia is a destination for Ibiza visitors, providing the perfect environment for him and his superstar-DJ guests to engage in as much ribald debauchery as the thousands of club-goers that attend the event. Don’t worry if you couldn’t make the pilgrimage to the clubbing mecca to experience his residency. The Sound of the Seventh Season Tour is promoting Väth’s double mix-CD of the same name that contains all of the biggest tracks dropped at Amnesia throughout the summer. With opening sets from gifted techno jocks Matthew Martin and John Patterson, Big Bad Sven has got some competition on his hands. These two have been known to outshine techno headliners with their superior taste in music, technical skills and ability to rock any-sized room.
