The only 2 RPG's that i've completely and successfully beaten are Final Fantasy III (US) and Super Mario RPG, both on SNES.

And I got pretty damn far in Defenders of Oasis for Game Gear.

I'm not much of an RPG gamer, I like my gaming sessions to be quick and right to the point...intricate character narratives, complicated plot development, leveling up, stat crunching, and ridiculous amounts of time before the game can be completed all kinda contradict that. The RPG im playing has to be damn ing good to grab my attention long enough for me to complete it.

Oblivion and Zelda and stuff... not too keen on it. I prefer FPS.

I never beat Super Mario RPG. Every time I started getting far my cartridge battery would die on me. I have the game on emulator but I didn't count that in my initial list, even though I still have the cartridge for it.

Final Fantasy III (VI) is my favorite FF of all time and have beaten that game countless times and even made what I call a "superquest," where I would get all my characters to level 99.

Final Fantasy II (IV) is the very first RPG I ever played and is what turned me into a Final Fantasy Addict. Long live Locke, Shadow, Terra, Celes, Cecil and Kain!

I'm a huge rpg player but I have found as I got older I don't have the patience I did when I was younger. A lot of times i treat rpgs like good books. I never touch them but when I do I spend a lot of time playing/reading but then I stop for long periods of time before going back.

Super Mario RPG is perhaps one of the most simplistic RPG's ever made, which is all the part of the fun of it. It's just pretty cool to see Mario and Bowser fighting side by side. You should really dig into it, you'll have a blast.
