If we stop buying Middle East oil, soon all dictatorship regimes in the region will collapse by themselves because there will be no money for the corrupt regimes to continue striving. They'll collapse on their own. This has to be preceded by a complete American withdrawal from Middle East so that American presense will not serve as fuel for these dictatorships. Thats my opinion. Its unfortunate we rely on oil so much and feed those same dictatorships. |

Unfortunately we haven't yet reached that critical mass point where we can just stop relying on the Middle East, or Venezuela, for oil.
I have been hearing though lately that things are so ed up Iran, that even though it's rich in crude oill, overall nowadays it has to IMPORT oil. Talked about a ed up system. |

I don't think it's that ed up. I believe it's got more to do with the way they run the oil business. I remember we had this Exxon Mobil rep talking about these things at our University career fair. It seems Exxon Mobil does not pump oil directly from its wells into its refineries. It sells oil in the international market and also buy crude oil for its refineries from the same market ! |

because the oil in Canada needs lots of processing to be useful lol, they probably will once global warming makes the southern US unlivable. But by then, everything will be China anyways. So I guess they won't. Canada is safe! |
