I think you need to find another job where cool people work. If I hadn't been playing EDM at work, I probably wouldn't have met or been talking to TranceSeeker and a few others. Listening to some TRANCE brought us together. *PLUR*
I'm listening to Disco and some high energy music right now. :toothless |

I work with hippies who like Grateful Dead and assorted jammy bands.
At least I get to "occasionally" listen to light haus and trance, lol.
They think the techno and harder haus is a bit much. |

I have some coworkers that listen to whatever good electronic music I provide. Another co-worker makes beats on an Akai.
If someone gives me about whatever i'm listening to I know their kidding but they know i'm serious because I could school them.
Sometimes I just ignore people. I have totally gotten responses like the OP says.. "hey, where is the disco ball" etc. |

I get that alot too, but I'm not embarassed about it. I get more annoyed than anything else. I used to always try and "educate" them, but there is no point, because they just have no ing clue. I can care less what they think of me. Infact, I like it when they think I'm "different" because of the music I listen to.
Let them listen to their gay commercialized Top 40 for all I care! :) |
