600 hundred DJs were asked to vote on their favorite 50 club/venue and Spundae@CIRCUS came out #37 but just counting the venues/clubs here in the states, it was #2.
Now why do you doubt CIRCUS when it comes to having world class DJs? According to CIRCUS owner Gene, he's got the money to bring in those DJs but it involves more than just money.

The only thing we can do is just wait and see what happens and also support which ever club is having your favorite DJ. Just like now, some people go to Avalon, some go to Circus, others may go to Vanguard, while others might prefer some other club.

well tell gene to fix the sound! FULL OVERHAUL of the sound. you know i love circus but it needs to be fully redone. new wiring, speakers, amps, racks, everything.

Spundae at Avalon will be a good move for Spundae. Avalon is already bringing in a crowd as "Avaland". How well the two crowds will mix....no body knowwwsss.

I did!!! :whip: CIRCUS has the same system as Avalon and the same person that works on Avalon's system is the one that works on Circus' but everyone seems to forget that the main room is so much bigger than that of Avalon's or Vanguard's and they're also built different! Damn it! :whip: hahahaha....
I've been going there way longer than anyone. Yes I am NOT embarrased to say it either! So I've seen all the changes and other things CIRCUS has gone through. The system that is in place now is like 5 yrs old (give or take a few months). I also mentioned to Gene the things I hear here & there about the venue. FYI.. he did agree that the main room needs a big make-over! :toothless
So with all that being said, I do believe that some changes will be happening in the near future.

Got anything else to say about CIRCUS? Tell me in person, PM or via email and I will relay the message to Gene. ;)

Tru, just a different setup. go back to the corner and look through the sliding glass doors. The amps brand i can't completely recall, but the XTA front end crossover systems driving the system are industry top notch. dork link: http://www.xta.uk.com/

As mentioned previously... the main room is just too big... and super reverberant. I would imagine any system in there would be hard to dial in and get extremely 'tight'. Coverage is weak too. For that square footage of space, there def needs to be some more EAW cubes.

this is a stupid argument... we're assuming Circus is still even going to be there in the future.

And why wouldn't it? I think that's ^ even more stupid! :stongue: We can say that about any club/venue or anything else for that matter. CIRCUS has been the longest running club, never has been closed and it just had it's 32 yr anniversary of being open. You're not even that old. ;)
