hey guys,

i havent posted a new tune in a long time.. (Dj_Kane) had created a track called "Volo Dimitto" about half a year ago, and i liked the tune.. so i asked him if i could remix the tune.. so he had sent me a midi file.. this remix is my very first created/remixed tune in Fruityloops.. and it was the first time for me aswell to work with a midi file. so over the last few days ive been playing with the remix trying out effects etc.. so please be gentle with posting comments!:p
im not completely satisfied yet, because there is a slight volume problem with the bassline and i need to add more percs etc.. ive used "Vanguard" for most of the synths. hope you like it, and im looking forward to feedback! i return feedback!:)

anyway enjoy:)

track is 192Kbps

thats pretty weird bidor, i always considered you as a guru of music production, i must say its not bad for your first track, i can totally hear vanguard in this one as i use it myself, however i would recommend you getting korg legacycell, use it instead of vanguard, hard to judge, not much going on, like you said, add some percs, some claps and brake downs and we'll see, although i dont have pro reference monitors and bake my choons on 150watt 3 way speakers although they are pretty flat to me, it sounds like your vanguard sound is overpowering the bass and kick a little, i would suggest use a diff sample, or chance octave to make it go higher, thus cover the rest of un-used headroom in the higher end of sound spectrum, good luck with future projects.

Hey bidor.... sup ??

Listening.... right now.... yeah i hear vanguard as well..... the pads are really fat.... i like it.... but the lead is little too much i guess.... you can try compressing it.... i would recommend using pro 53 for bass.... or as megaman said, korg legacy is a very good vst too.... i avoid using vanguard ... coz everyone recognise it ... but you can eq the sounds that it doesnt sound metallic.... anyway, this track need alot of work:D i loved your chillouts tho.... hehe... you have to use some arrangement and eq fix.... and some percussion .. yeah... but overall this is not bad considering this is the first trancers you make... hehe anyways, good luck with your future stuff.... pm me so you can add me in your IM .... i can help ya out....

Hey check out ma new demo too.....

Cheers:D :p

ill give some pointers on what i think needs changed etc. Its your first time using a sequencer so ill give you credit for that as it sounds better than my first effort.

first of the kick sounds like a fruity preset kick, i dont no if it is or its just the way the kick is sitting in the track. id have a look at that.

the percussion where is it? you need to fill out your high end with hats, cymbals etc.

some parts seem off or seem to skip like at 0:54 then the cymbal that follows a few seconds later seems to be out of place. theres another cymbal in the breakdown seems to be out of place also.

everything is very vanguardy. you need to use different vstis or different sounds their all the preset vangaurd sounds. ive some sounds for it i did myself if you want i can sort you out with a few on msn as i dont use vanguard anymore.

good to see you used alot of original elements i had in the track. i might get that track totally finished one day.

you seem to have the arrangement sorted but your choice of sounds are too unoriginal, however this will get better as you start to explore vsts further and music production.

keep it up and good to see your not sampling anymore.
