I meant to do a review from the Zone last weekend...(which RAWKED!)... but just wanted to say that Tim Patrick's set was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! what style did he play?? trippy, acid tech, proggy house skull-******y so many tracks I have never heard before - and have no idea why because they were SICK! - as I was looking through his cd collection it was like a breath of fresh air....and a trainspotter's dream :) bleepy, undulating, low oscillating rhythms.... wouldn't be surprised if this style took off over the coming months as we come upon the 20th anniversary of the acid house days of clubland very rarely do I come away from a set of music so pleasantly surprised and giddy with excitement as I did during Tim's set that afternoon just thought I would post an acknowledgement of what he achieved to evoke in me - surprising the out of me with a totally WIKKID WIKKID set that literally blew my mind and left me wanting more gushing aside - I wish to that set had been recorded - for on multiple listens - I am sure there was music in there that would have me hopping around my room non-stop for the next 2 months! :) The Highroller I'll definitely have to check Tim Patrick out then. Anyone that gets your stamp of approval I'm interested in seeing. See you Saturday man! WIKKID! maybe time for this local to get some re-exposure for catching a new wave of sound - let's hope even from System days before - never was so impressed as with last week's track selection..... though i do remember when the Korg chaos pad was new - he made mixes sound sick!
