this makes it a very hard choice. Carl Craig for sick techno at Mezzanine, or some great local talent. I'm really not a big fan of trance (and at least several of the DJ's at 1015 will be playing it) and I LOVE TECHNO, but there's still plenty at this party that makes it something of a difficult choice. Mostly in the form of Bassnectar, Mark Farina, and Miguel Migs.
why do good parties have to happen on the same night as each other? |

Oh do you have the tracklisting for that night...wow I didn't know they were pre-releasing the DJs playlist, LOL :eyespop:
A good DJ can spin all types of EDM & a devoted EDM listener appreciates all types of dance music.
I think for this event some DJs will stick to what the crowd expects them to play & others will spin a much more diverse mix of sounds...we'll see. |

What the are you on about? Just because I don't have a tracklist for the night doesn't mean that it's a stretch to expect Taj to play mostly trance, for instance. Yes, I know they might play god knows what, but I'm not expecting a trance DJ to suddenly pull out a bunch of minimal techno.
And a "devoted EDM listener" doesn't necessarily appreciate all types of dance music. I'm just as devoted as anyone else, probably more devoted than most, and I ing HATE a lot of stuff. Please don't make such sweeping generalizations, there's no reason my personal taste needs to match your definition. EDM is too broad and diverse to act as though everyone of course must like all the different genres.
Also, if you had any sort of reading comprehension, you'd note that I said it should be a great party and was complaining that 2 great events happened simultaneously. |

Where my twins at, looks like you upset him...maybe you should apologize, lol, Come on I can't believe he took what you said so personal. Anyhow I just wanna comment on his repsonse to such DJs as Taj who he labeled a "trance" DJ & with reason since he does spin trance (so that generally gets a DJ categorized as a trance DJ) however I can't even begin to recount all the times I've heard him play breaks, prog & lets not forget his funky classic house sets a the Endup. Here's just one example however there are other DJs at 1015 that switch it up as well.
I go to 1015 pretty often & I have heard Taj spin all kinds of EDM, I think he goes with the crowd & what they seem to be in to that night.
As for minimal techno probably a long stretch but I am sure if you listen you will hear the sounds of techno in some of the tracks being played.
I am really excited for this nite really looking forward to seeing of course Taj, Dirtyhertz, Syd Gris, & Seven.:stongue: |

I wasn't going to respond to this but wtf I'm bored right now. Anyhow you seem very angry...I don't feel I said anything worth getting so riled up, which in turn caused you to throw insults left & right. It seems you took what I said very personal when infact the only thing that was directed towards you was my first sentence which was meant as a joke, hence the LOL. The rest of what I said were generalzations. It's unfortunate that people are so sensitive these days & walk around with a chip on their shoulder waiting for someone to tick them off so they explode...didn't mean to tick you off...chill out this is only a forum & were talking about music or love of music...not politics.
Also if you don't like trance then wtf are you doing on tranceaddit forums...?
