I love how they make it seem that you can generate power from the water itself.

I'm powered by water and glucose.

Thats great to see. It's possible since all you need to do is create a process to separate the hydrogen out in water and use that as the fuel source. I'm sure theres more too it and it's difficult and expensive to do but hopefully it becomes simpler and cheaper in the future to do.

The technology is new so I'm sure over the next years it'll be refined to the point where it can start be implemented in vehicles and the like. Would be great to see cars among other things running on just water and never having to buy gas again.

Then again you wonder if the government would ever be quick to pick up on this technology. It would reduce foreign oil dependence but it would basically either hurt the oil companies greatly or put them out of business. The oil companies seem to have quite a few connections with the US government so it wouldn't be likely to see the US government to allow this technology to become widespread.

hahahahahha
they're in talks with two major auto makers....who will promptly buy the rights to the patent and see that its never ever ever used for cars.

anyone else see who killed the electric car?

What you're forgetting is that to get the hydrogen you need quite a bit of electricity. That electricity is usually generated by fossil fuel power plants. :p

Was about to emphasise that point. What would be cool though would be to find a way to generate the power required for electrolysis, using only the HHO compound produced by electrolysis. Ie perpetual power.
