As for the party...
This was the best I'm I've ever had at sonic hands down.
Thanks Jeff, for everything, and thanks to everyone who came out for my birthday.
There were so many good friends, that this would have been a fun party even if the music was awful.
And that couldn't have been further from the truth, music was amazing all night long. One of my favourite sets in a long long time. They started off really well, and maintained the energy for a few hours. There was a brief section in the middle that was a little drifty, Kevin and I noticed a brief "sucky" section, but they quickly recovered and the ending was quite simply rEdiculous. They got better and better with every tune it seemed. So good it required shirtless performances by RJ and myself.
In addition the night resulted in three new dance moves.
1) The tilt o'whirl of destruction
2) The gauntlet of death
3) The headbutt
All were successful, unless looking at things from the perspective of the guy who got headbutted, he probably looks at step three as a failure, but thats because he was an idiot.
Lexicon Avenue was great, friends are still better. Thanks again everyone. |

Wow, what an awesome night. This is the third time in a row that I've been to Sonic and have been very impressed. Keep up the good work guys!
Besides the grand opening, this was definitely the best party I've been to at Sonic. This was mainly attributable to the crowd. As Jay mentioned before, it had the perfect mix of people. Everyone was friendly, and up for it. The crowd was nothing like the complaints expressed in the "Where have all the people gone from Sonic?" thread.
Brad played a good opening set, especially toward the end. The last hour of his set was awesome where he rocked out the futurehouse sound. Great job! I look forward to hearing you at Sonic more often.
For the first hour or so, Lexicon Avenue lost the control that Brad had over the crowd for the final hour of his set. It took them a little bit to find their groove, but by 5:30 they had certainly found it. From 5:30-6:30 was absolute madness, evoking quite a response from the crowd. They kept dropping bomb after bomb, getting progressively harder as time went on.
From 6:30-7:30, they got a bit melodic giving me time to rest my legs. They picked it up again at around 7:30 with some nice vocal and very epic sounding tracks. They started winding it down a bit at 8:30, and finished at 9:00.

Thanks Nat! It most certainly was. What a ing killer track. Does anyone know what remix this was? I'm guessing it was theirs...
What made this night even better was the amount of friends that were present. Good times everyone. |

I had not been to Sonic on a Saturday night since November...and I walked into the Sonic I know and love and the Sonic I missed!
What an amazing night. Brad's debut was everything I expected it to be and Lexicon...HURRY BACK!
The crowd was amazing...perfect in every way...except for the numbers...I think the TOTA community made a BIG difference to the energy in the room...
I can't wait for next Saturday and John Creamer...
I hope you are all planning to be there too (except Irish Graham...I know now why he is being deported...his "green house" gas emissions exceed acceptable levels!) oi f*cking stink! |

I know eh!!! damn I loved the old Boa, this is my first time at Sonic. I take it this is not an experience that you encounter often at Sonic? I love where the DJ booth is, ciouldnt get up close and personal with the DJ when it was Boa. |
