Hey guys
I have a problem installing the driver for my M Audio Oxygen 8 V2 MIDI device. When i install the driver it says that it has found a "USB audio device" but the MIDI device wont work in any program. It dosent come up with the Found New Hardware Wizard that it should come up with after i install the driver. On my old computer that i used it on it found "M Audio Oxygen 8 V2 MIDI device" and it worked fine. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?
Thanks

This happened to me actually, try installing it without plugging it in, once it's installed, plug it in. |

this may be irrelevant since it worked on an older machine of yours...
but the new maudio stuff requires sp2 if you're running windows...
and just double check to see that you meet the min system specs i guess. |

I agree with verdonsky...
uninstall the current driver...
then install the drivers from the CD which came with your oxy (without plugging it in)
when the installation is finished plug the oxy in...windows will find the driver hopefully on it's own...if it won't you might try that select driver manually thing...it should show the drivers somewhere in the catalogue.
but once it's installed it will be put into windows\system\inf
windows should find it just fine there when you plug the oxy in...
good luck
(and hope I make a kind of sense) |

ive had to install m audio drivers over and over(new computers etc) . it usually takes about 3-5 times of installing, unintalling and reinstalling of the drivers before it works. at least in my experience. |

if you got the drivers installed, go to your pc hardware window, and try to update the drivers for the USB Composite Device, did the trick for me with my evolution keyboard. |
