anyone used this has any opinions abt it ?

consider getting it but the onli gripe is the absence of led VU for channels unlike those on DJm-600.

:whip: :whip:

Sound wise i really do not have an idea as local stores do not carry this .

I had a play with it at a shop a few weeks ago and I can say its the first mixer Ive had fun using. The grips on the knobs are great and the faders seem very sturdy and with a nice weight to them, the whole thing feels very sturdy and well-built. Have a play with one if you can since it's something of a personal preference, but personally Im looking at getting it for my next mixer.

I have 1601 and I'm satisfied - I like the sound..

like the absence of the UV indicators pose any difficulty in matching the volume of all the channels?

the absence of those indicators shouldnt be too big of a problem, since anyway you should use your ears or phones to get the volumes balanced, rather than matching the volumes visually only using the indicators

sound wise, ive actually owned a Urei 1601s model for a brief period of time, and sound quality was awesome...but it didnt have all the bells and whistles as the djm, so swapped it for the 600...not too sure about the 1603 model though

thought i bump this rather than making a new thread! anyone with any hands on experience with this mixer? they are going for some crazy price atm. really tempting!

only that does put me off is the eqs being at 2 o' clock, but its no biggy.

was holding off for the mackie d.4 but its taking so long for it to be released! this looks like it could be an awesome purchase!

This is an awesome sounding and solid feeling mixer.

cool! i take it you've used or actually own this mixer in order to give a opinion like that? if so, are there any negative points to the mixer?
ZeJayMan
I've used it plenty of times though I don't own it. Only thing that bothered me about it was the position of the headphone socket. What price are you looking to buy for?
nutsan
they are going for £300 atm! i was gonna save up and hold for the d.4 but its taking so long to be released like i said, then i saw this and thought it looked pretty solid but could find much on it in terms of reviews etc...

ZeJayMan
You won't get a better mixer for that money unless you buy second hand.
nutsan
damn you making me spend money! think im gonna have to purchase one! :toothless
