So is the Love Parade. LOL.:p ;) I mean u expect them to charge alot, but 85 is way too much. $40-50 would be ok. |

| I have attended Coachella from 2001-2005 and have to say its the single best music festival I have attended in the U.S. its organization is second to none, the atmosphere is amazing and Camping is the true secret of this festival, because there is the sense of community and all the cool people you meet with an amazing international feel. This should not be missed if you have the time and money dont think, just go!:eyespop: |

true, but there's a great variety of talent for $85..it would cost me way more in total to catch these acts separately in a given year. |

their scope and structure are entirely different. 85 beans per day is perfectly normal considering how stacked those lineups are. |

European lineups are way better and cost half as much. I did Nature One in Germany for $30 euros, (was $45 but I got it off someone who had an extra and wanted to get rid of it.) Food was dirt cheap there, not to mention drinks cost what they would anywhere else like at a bar or restaurant. I guess ppl are desperate and pay whatever price simply cause they think its the cool thing to do here. Personally, they could add 100 more Djs on that lineup and it still wouldnt be worth no $85. Theres lots more parties liek that, im just using the one I went to as an example.
Thats an example of some of the lineups they got there.

you're talking about djs, nature 1, and posting links to club-related stuff and thus missing the point. (in case you still haven't figured it out, the point is that coachella is a not dance music-oriented event) |

| all that money per ticket and only $1 goes to a charity. one measly buck. |

| It adds up per day really. 50,000 people per day = $50,000 x 3 = $150,000. not bad in the name of charity |
