With these pioneers are these powered or not?
I'm looking for some decent portable speakers that are powered so I can lug them around without an amp |

They are passive, in other words you need an amp.
Jarv
PS Active would mean they were powered. |

tbh 2 of those pioneer speakers and an amp will stil be a hell of alot easy to transport that 2 big heavy active speakers.

I listened to those JBL speakers at Guitar Center. They sounded pretty good as far as PA speakers go.
I use Yamaha BR15's. They are passive and sound very nice, which is surprising considering that I'm running them from a Gem Sound XP-550, which is only $150 but pumps out 300W RMS. |
