according to regualtion 2.12 in the sending of tunes to labels handbook the minimum amount of time before you can send another tune to a label is 4hrs 16 mins and 4.12 secs.

Anything less than this and you face trial from the court of tune sending people.

as expected there's a lot of stupid replies...feel free to flame me now but I will try to form a kind of serious reply.

When to send your track to the labels?
It's better later than too soon...it's a long time, I had a cool contact in purple eye recordings...and I was feeling like I'm a hotshot or something... :-/ (now I regret).
but at that time I've sent a really bad track as my demo (it didn't get signed as I guess you'd expect)
What it actually did? Wrecked my image on the label...and I wouldn't even try contacting them now...although, the guy I was in contact with was always very helpful and friendly...

does this answer the question? I think it's just better to send it later when you're really sending the best material you can come up with...
Sending it earlier might make your changes smaller (not in all cases though, some a&r guys can see the potential behind some people and will/might take care of you, untill you're good enough to sign)

I agree with all of this, as far as not making it look like its hassling them tho, it doesn't really matter, because even if you sent one track one day and another the next, they wouldnt get processed for a month and then probably not together! Obviously it depends on the label but you know what I mean.

DJ Shibby
it depends...

if they didn't like your first song... then I would *never* send them another track. lol
richg101
when you feel it matches the quality of the releases on the particular label you will send to...
