Common sense people. Our government should not be hovering over us like that. I endured enough of that living with the 'rents.
Finally.

I think a caller I heard this morning on the radio had the right idea. Rather then helmets, which would only protect children's heads, let's bubble wrap the trees... that way they are fully protected as are the animals and any thing/one else that may happen to strike a tree in any manner. We should also consider lining the sidewalks and roads with styrofoam peanuts.
Awesome! :stongue:
Welcome to the nanny state where we protect you from yourselves! :rolleyes:

Ok fine, I'll confess the truth.
Jaxy1 didn't like the radio hypocrispy, when it came down to supporting local talent.
You know how radio politics are on this forum. Certain threads can stay, others can't. It's pretty sad really.

Getty Lee is concerned about our toboggan safety;
Nikitha
I think this is a pretty good idea.... i've seen some pretty serious wipe-outs while toboganing...
why.... just this past week ( wednesday) i went sledding with some friends down here in windsor and i bruised my tailbone very badly.... thankfully my head didn't hit the ice rock that my back did... i def would have needed a hospital visit if that were the case!

A 3-yr old got injured this weekend, with a wall at the end of the slope, and there was CLEARLY a sign warning of the danger.
Yet this kid's parent brought the child there anyways.
It's not the kids that need helmets, it's the parents that need dunce caps.
