this seems a silly question to me, maybe im wrong to my knowledge all songs differ. producers dont make tracks to be in a specific key they put a melody together with notes that sound good. |

| There is no "standard" root for trance. If anything, most are probably in C, because that is really simple to use. Really it just comes down to where your instruments sound the best. I usually create the bass sound i want, and then put it on the note it sounds the best on, then i use that as my root. It all comes down to what sounds best. |

| C major or A minor just because it's simpler, but than in no way means it's the best key for you to produce in. |

| I think it's D minor. Almost all trance is in D minor, or A minor. |

All the best producers write tracks with their basslines in F# Major, their leads in A minor, and their pad chords in C minor. You can't be a good producer unless you do this.
