...thats either a pattern gate, or a 'tremolo' likely set to a square wave or maybe triangle. hopefully your sequencer can lock the values of the trem to the tempo of your track.
the cool thing about a pattern gate is that instead of a constant stutter.. you can vary it up and change the stutter. |

listening to his sample that he posted originally... i don't think that is the effect we're talking about. the sample had a constant on/off gate. like a square wave tremolo. |

this was with 5 minutes of manipulation... two layers of beat repeat... i bet with a few more and the proper filter sweep on, i could get closer.
the video was just to show the stutter and gate effects possible with it.
