rofl you gotta stop right there and think. you listen to edm. therefore you by default are open minded, less judgemental, and open to discussion your beliefs and why you believe in what you do. unfortunately a large part of the religious community is NOT like this. |

no. i don't remember the last time people went to war because of santa clause.
btw, this video is just mocking Christians...i highly doubt someone would make a song and music video titled "God hates fags" and be serious...obviously they wanted to piss some people off, and it seemingly worked. |

I don’t agree with that though. I think that the belief that Christians hate everybody that is gay, believe in other religions, etc is based on a few Christians that are very vocal about what they believe. Most Christian are not actually like that. It is videos like this one that help ppl believe this. The Christian community is currently in a big transition stage as well. People are starting to realize that we arnt making a good image for ourselves and that we are 2 conventional in the way we do things. I just helped set up an alternative worship night here that is basically a club in a warehouse and that’s now my church, it’s been a huge success here. That’s just a personal example (I no ur gonna say something along the lines of what u said before) but there are lots of different things like this going on at the moment. Thats one of the reasons i really hate things like this because it gets way more attention than the good things we are doing and its not even what most of us believe. |

| Pretty ironic that it's sang by some fag chops with a queer moustache sporting a pink shirt. Oh yea, and Christian Rock - That's not gay, is it now? |

while i dont disagree that the christian community is going through some changes, my statement wasnt just aimed at christians. it is aimed at all religious groups. too many are very hypocritical without even knowing it.
honestly i dont doubt that your thing is a success. thats awesome that it is. unfortunately we live in a social climate that the people that seem to try to run everyones lives are all special interest religious groups. they want to ban this ban that force this or force that.
imho religion is a way for the weak minded to have something/someone to look to for guidance. people who cant much think for themselves. not that all religious people are degenerates but in my experience they seem to have a very weak and flawed sense of logic. |

:) :) :) Word, took it for 3 semesters in college but I'm a "language person" so I caught on really well... still try to read when there's time; finished Kafka's Die Verwandlung and starting on Heinrich Boll's Ansichten eines Clowns now... have an internship in Bern coming up this summer but I figured there's no reason to accelerate my German in the months before since I won't be able to understand them and they won't be able to understand me anyway :p Here's to learning some Swiss German this summer...
I was gonna go to Neuschwanstein when I was on my Europe tour 2 summers ago but opted for Prague instead. I went to Berlin and Munich, two cities I'll never forget, and Saarbruecken, one city I will. Germany is one of the countries I want to rent a car in and drive through for 3 months... |

I'm going to have to disagree with this. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying religion is wonderful. I am one of the most anit-organized-religion people you could ever meet. I dont think its because people are weak though, just because that is all they have ever known. My problem with religion is not in its teachings, i think that religion carries a good message ("Be nice"), but in the way that people interpret it. I have problems with the way organized religion spends most of its time teaching ritual and doing things in one certain way. I think that by doing this you are completely missing the point. I dont believe that god sat down and said, "Ok, they're going to have to cover their heads, and cut off the end of their penises, and not eat pork, etc.", i think that to spend so much time telling people exactly what to believe and do neglects the essence of the teachings. And that essence is to be a decent person. Often though, as in the case of these wonderful individuals serenading us, the ritual and standardized beliefs are put first and end up causing more hate than love. |
