Hey fellow TAs I have a request of you. I need a machine gun sample for a production. Now before any of you start going "OH NO! HE IS A TERRORIST!", calm down, I have to compose a piece of music for a film clip for my music class in high school and I plan on doing the Matrix Lobby shooting scene. So if any of you could help me out with some tips, it would be greatly appreciated!
Also, for this clip, do you think I should keep it kinda breakbeat-orientated like the song spybreak or do something completly different?
Thanks again. |

| Heya, I'd sugest taking a click / rimshot sample and then making really fast rolls with it, then using some EQ to increase the low frequenicies' volumes in the sample |

Yeah, that's a good idea... being creative never hurts. |

| I suggest getting your hands on Quake III Arena and browsing thru the soundfiles. There's a dozen of machine gun samples in there. Need me to take a couple and upload em? |

Thanks for the ideas guys. I was also thinking along the lines of the rimshot and tweaking it so i will give it a try.
Pjotr G, That would be cool idea. I don't have Quake so if you were feeling generous, could you perhaps upload just one or two? Thanks again guys. |
