May help with the dizzyness. Your not by any chance having problems with bright lights too?

Not really, my pupillary dilation is okay but the nystagmus is driving me nuts. I think it's mostly likely that it's labrynthitis, if not that then lyme disease (I visited the east coast US recently and was outside a lot). I tried to go to the ER the other day and they wouldn't even look at me because I couldn't front $400, hah... It sucks not having health insurance and only a temporary visa (immigrating at the moment, it'll be another 10 months before I have medical coverage).

There should be a Dr. Google where you type in all your symptoms and it gives you what it might be, what to do for it, and if you need medical help right away. Then you can take the advice of Dr. Google and go to Walmart and get some antibiotics or something. Health Care would probably go down in price as not everyone's brother's uncle is going to the doctor every 2 weeks for stupid stuff.

Hmmm I should use Dr. Google and put in symptoms of severe migranes or a broken bone so I can get perscriptions for OxyContin or atleast Vicodin

Either that I should put in my symptoms of my flu, but I really don't know what I'm doing and put in symptoms that give up a result for strepthroat, thus I needlessly get prescribed antibiotics

:p sorry. I don't think that would necessarily be a good idea. Atleast the part about getting a perscription to bring to walmart or some pharmacy. Although Its nice having a place to go where you can type in your symptoms and get some advice on what it is. I think thats what WebMD is.

Well i've just come back from the doctors, and was wondering...are the doctors where you are as useless as they are here...
I wonder if its just my surgery...or maybe its because in the UK its paid for by the government so a high standard of service is not a worry.
How do you rate your doctors where you are?

Basically i have a deep cut running up my ring finger, where its cut to the bone. This was caused by me handling some livestock and its dorsal spine dug in and moved up to my finger tip. Bled a fair bit and has been num for 4 days...finally decided to go to the doctors after realising the dangers of handling certain corals i work with with an open infection, especially since my hands are in Salt water all day

Are you some sorta livestock breeder ?

I bet once they develop holograms that can come out of your comptuter you can just type in the attributes you want and Google will make you your own personalized girlfriend...to do things with...

My doctor is younger than I am, female, and small fingers. She can check my prostate without any objection.

I'm guessing some sort of aquaculture, I'm kind of interested too.

Work for a company that imports and captive breeds marine livestock. We try to set up breeding programs to take the strain off of wild caught stock.
We also supply public aquariums so its good, just earlier this week i had to care for some Nurse sharks.

Here's the guy that got me...they errect sharp spines along the dorsal fin, probably a good 2 inches the dorsal will stand on end.

Healthcare in romania apparantly sucks :p

here in canada we have public healthcare, as a whole it is probably one of the worlds best systems, yes it doesn have its downfalls, long wait times etc. but since its public, a homeless guy has to wait just as long as the richest man in toronto does.

i dont mind some private healthcare facilities but only for the extras, laser cosmetic surgury, plastic surgury etc.... as far as lifesaving treatments are concerend i dont belive its right to be able to jump in line so to speak just because you can pay for it. who is to say that a guy who makes 15 grand a year's life is worth less than some bay street banker's?

what canada needs to do now is increase the salary caps on doctors (OHIP regulations in ontario) in order to increase the number of doctors to reduce wait times, also increase the number of RN's. and lastly develop a national transplant network similar to that in the US. currently each province has its own transplant network but interprovincial organ transfers are rare at best. so in provinces like ontario whith a population of 8 to 10 million, it works but in PEI, with a pop of only about 650 000 people, the organs are hard to come by. a nationaly structured transplant network would allow not only for a national triage list of organ recipients, but a national inventory of availible donor organs
