Canada Responsible for 50% of Movie Piracy

"Hollywood is blaming Canada as being the source for at least 50% of of the world's pirated movies. According to an investigation by Twentieth Century Fox, most of the recording is taking place in Montreal theatres where films are released in both English and French. This has led to consideration of delaying movie releases in Canada. Their problem is that the Canadian Copyright Act, as well as the policies of local police forces, makes it difficult to come down especially hard on perpetrators. Convicting someone is apparently rather difficult, almost requiring a law officer to have a 'smoking camcorder' in the hands of the accused. Hence, the consideration of more drastic measures."

lol what is the difference between stealing movies and stealing music ... ?? NONE
i download movies, i admit it, maybe if they reduce the price of theatre entrace there will be less stealing no? 12$ to watch a movie , is way too much imo. plus 95% of what is commin out from hollywook last years has been ! when a movie is worth it i buy the dvd, or i have enough anticipation about the movie i go watch it. unless that i steal em , i dont care lol, theyre not loosing money anyway... so whats wrong with that. |

if i remember correctly my last school session, there's a loop hole in the canadian Law.
I know there's a loophole somewhere in the document. I think something says that you can't download illegaly but you can't get sued due to privacy right or something.
Unless the law is reformed, Canada is an illegal download paradise.
I heard a spain senator tried to pass a law where downloading would be legal....:haha:

| I laugh at that Hollywood is blaming us for pirating movies...its usually someone from the inside who releases them and ends on newgroups where most of them come from. ...Rocky Balboa was out like 2 days after the release ( DVD version) |
