N BRIEF LOS ANGELES COUNTY / HOLLYWOOD
Bouncer shot dead at nightclub; 2 arrested
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
January 28, 2007

A 29-year-old bouncer was shot and killed early Saturday after a dispute at The Vanguard nightclub, authorities said.

Ron Emerick of Redondo Beach died shortly after the 2 a.m. shooting, which also injured a 22-year-old customer.

According to Los Angeles police, Emerick was mortally wounded when two men got into a dispute with the club's staff.

The men, Milton Do, 19, of West Covina and Tim Lee, 26, of Downey, fled but were captured when they lost control of their vehicle and crashed near the Hollywood Freeway.

Anyway, here is a pic of his from MySpace, so you guys know who he is:

My thoughts are with his family and friends also. Using a weapon at a club is similar to robbing a bank, as there are security cameras everywhere, plus hundreds of people inside the club are taking pics and videos throughout the night. Chances of being caught must be close to 100%, so not a very good idea. I think that overall clubs are safe places to be. It's very sad to hear something like this happened though.

Glad they caught the guys. Saw this in the paper this morning, very sad.
