These are quirks, not a disorder. |
| quote: | obsessive-compulsive disorder
noun
an anxiety disorder characterized by recurrent and persistent thoughts and feelings and repetitive, ritualized behaviors |
Washing my hands and being paranoid of unsanitary things is DEFINITELY an OCD, and double checking everything is an OCD.
| quote: | anx?i?e?ty
1. distress or uneasiness of mind caused by fear of danger or misfortune: He felt anxiety about the possible loss of his job.
|
I experience massive anxiety when things are not clean. I get edgey, and cannot stop thinking about washing my hands if they feel dirty. |

yeah, I'm pretty sure I have a mild form of tourette's, I start to feel really really weird and anxious if I don't rub my hands together sometimes, and relieved if I do (like scratching an itch).
i don't think ocd is terribly serious unless you can't do things like hold a job or manage your finances because of it. |

I find the whole "OCD" claims by most people to be exaggerated. They are usually quirks that people want others to see, just for attention. People don't understand that OCD is a serious disorder that can leave OCD sufferers in fear and anxiety for days or even weeks. "Washing my hands". That's not a symptom of OCD. Throwing a fit, and completely stopping all of your daily routines because you can't wash your hands is a symptom of OCD.
People take this too lightly. |
Once while I was watching a movie with my roomie, I asked him to pause it so I could go and wash my hands. I REFUSE to touch food with my hands until I've washed them. I put toilet paper on the toilet seat, even at friends houses.
Trust me, I don't take it lightly. I have a serious fear of germs, and know that I suffer from OCD because of it.
It frusterates me, and has been the cause of a lot of teasing for me... :( |

| I think a lot of it is psychologically embedded in your brain, but OCDers do struggle with things that they wish weren't so "GAHHHH" and frustrating. I think some people do over exaggerate, but for the most part it is a harmless problem unless someone washes their hands to the point where the skin is falling off which has happened. |

"An OCD"? Either these are grammar errors or you don't know what OCD is. It's an entire disorder that goes a whole lot deeper than washing your hands. Washing your hands is a SYMPTOM of OCD. It isn't the OCD, itself.
Have you been diagnosed with OCD?
Have you ever received treatment, or receiving treatment at the present time?
If you are truly concerned that OCD is affecting your life, you should get both of those things done and stop trying to get attention by saying you have it. You just sound just like an emo kid bragging about having depression so and cutting his wrists. |

it's not the straight sex specifically that causes it, it's more that it's the frustration stemming from such that makes the terribly horny turn to the much more easily obtained cock.
