Would be nice if Jody Wisternoff, John Creamer, or even Quivver could get a shot at a Essential Mix.

I've never heard of Tayo. So i'd say that the odds are in the favor of his mix being the best.

Tayo

Profile

Tayo joined The Residency in February 2006. He broke into the breaks scene alongside Adam Freeland and has since released 4 mix albums.

He was involved in the breaks scene from its early days, he started the first big breaks night Friction with Adam Freeland.

Tayo has released 4 mix albums, including two y4k releases for Distinctive. In 2002, he signed to Kiss FM to present their breaks show.

Tayo also DJs alongside Frank Tope under the Rooty DJs moniker, named after Bassment Jaxx's clubnight. In 1999 started a breaks label Mob Records which was a testing ground for Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs and Rennie Pilgrem.

Tayo left Mob and has since released records on Skint Records with Acid Rockers and remixed for Dave Clarke and Lady Sovereign.

Also soon to release tracks with Aquasky, Finger Lickin and remixed Basement Jaxx's "Flylife" with new partner The Undersound. At the moment Tayo is recording an album for Finger Lickin records.

Tayo's signature style is dubwise beats and breaks, he DJs regularly at Fabric, The End, all over the UK and internationally.

Nice one, I'm definitely looking forward to Tayo's mix. The others I could take or leave though. Howells might be pretty good though...

I don't see a Digital Mystikz EM, hence I am not interested.

Actually I win. I have more music than I could possibly listen to in 5 years, so this is the least of my worries. :D
